(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with assault after handcuffing himself to a female co-worker, according to court proceedings in Georgia.
The Georgia man who handcuffed himself in order to convince a woman to go on a date with him, finally got locked up behind bars for four years.
Jason Earl Dean, 25, handcuffed himself to the young co-worker in a Taco Bell restaurant in Ringgold, Georgia, in a strange attempt to coerce the girl to go out with him.
Dean had repeatedly asked the woman, 18, out on a date, but she refused his advances and even had her shift in the restaurant changed in order not to interact with him.
So when Dean slammed handcuffs on her she did not take the joke well and filed charges.
As a result, Dean was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison, to be followed by six years probation. He is also to have no contact with the woman or her family.
"It's a split sentence," Lookout Mountain Assistant District Attorney, Alan Norton, said. "Four years at the department of corrections, while the rest will be served as probation with specific conditions," he said.
