A heartbroken family has paid the jeweler to have their beloved brother’s ashes turned into a beautiful diamond necklace.

The LifeGem Company, created a diamond necklace masterpiece out of their loved one’s ashes.

24-year-old Alex Archer was a beloved son and brother. Sadly, he died in a car accident in Manhattan, New York. The Archer family was devastated by his death and they wanted an everlasting piece to cherish forever.

“One of my favorite things about Alex, was the way he treated our mother,” his sister Lily Hagel, said. “He always held her hand in public and was never afraid to give her a kiss. He did not care who was watching,” she added.

Now, the family found a unique way to preserve his memory as they turned his ashes into a beautiful diamond. They will be wearing a piece of Archer wherever they go.

“He was such an amazing person, and now we have an amazing gem from him,” Hagel said.

LifeGem makes the diamonds with one cup of ashes. They can also create a diamond from a few strands of hair for those who do not cremate the body.

The price for these rare diamonds range from $3,000 up to $17,000.
