(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged after he snuck into an apartment in order to have sex with a dog, according to court proceedings in New York.
Building superintendent Kujtim Nicaj, 44, was sentenced Tuesday, to six and a half years in prison and seven years probation, for sneaking into his tenant's apartment and having sex with the man's dog, according to press reports in New York.
Alan Kachalsky of Rye, New York, lived alone with his Labrador retriever, Gunner, which is 1 year old, but often came home to find evidence that someone else had been in the apartment. Kachalsky would realize that someone had opened a window or closed the blinds, but none of his possessions had ever disappeared.
Kachalsky set up three cameras to catch the intruder and ended up with video of Nicaj entering the apartment, getting naked and engaging in sexual acts with Gunner.
Kachalsky said that in the video, the Labrador, which is usually friendly and full of energy, sat on the couch. It did not get up.
Kachalsky took the video to the police, and Nicaj was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery as a felony for sexual motivation and sexual misconduct.
He was also fired from his position as superintendent of the building and was given a week to vacate the property.
Nicaj pleaded guilty. In addition to serving jail time, he must register as a sex offender and not interact with Kachalsky.
