There are many ways one can celebrate a 100th birthday.
Aston Martin, which is now celebrating its 100th birthday, did it in style in one of the world's most recognized luxury destinations, the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.
The event showed an airlift of an Aston Martin GT, the Vanquish, on top of the helipad at the iconic hotel, being joined by some of the most important dignitaries of the region.
It is the first time a car was placed on the runway, which is 1,000 feet above the ground on top of
the sail-shaped building.
Speaking from the heliport, Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez said: "It is with great pride that we continue our 100th year celebrations in a unique way in the city of Dubai. Today, we are making another world first, one of many for Aston Martin in recent years. This is a real milestone for Aston Martin and a great start to a new century of global success of our iconic brand."
Aston Martin also marked its 100th anniversary with exclusive specifications that will be available worldwide on only 100 cars of each model: V8 Vantage, DB9, Rapide and Vanquish.
