(Scroll down for video) A mother was arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide after her two young children died when she left them in a hot car while she was having sex in another car for several hours, according to police reports in Florida.
The mother of the two young children, who died after being left in the car, was apprehended in Florida.
She now faces charges of criminally negligent homicide among other charges, following allegations that she was having sex in another car while her children were left alone.
Heather Jensen, was arrested Wednesday at her mother's home in Florida, on suspicion of false reporting, two counts of criminally negligent homicide and two counts of child abuse resulting in death from a negligent act.
Medical examiners have said that two-year-old William Jensen and 4-year-old Tyler Jensen, died of hyperthermia, or overheating. William died at the scene while Tyler died later in a hospital.
A statement in the arrest warrant said that a man told investigators that he and Heather Jensen were having sex in his truck while the boys were in the other vehicle.
