(Scroll down for video) A vandal has come up with a unique way to damage passing vehicles, New York Police said in a statement.
New Rochelle Police on Sunday, were searching for a vandal, who threw large fruits, which damaged numerous vehicles.
The vandal has damaged at least 17 vehicles by launching the fruits, with nine vehicles damaged on Sunday morning alone.
"I'm not happy that this happened in this neighborhood," one resident, Scott, said. "I mean I know, this is a nice neighborhood and it's not something we like to see here."
Scott lives on Neptune Avenue in New Rochelle, and he was not happy to hear about what some call the Fruit Bandit.
The suspect has launched pumpkins, papayas and pineapples at cars. Pumpkin and pineapple tire marks were still visible along Pelham Road Sunday night.
Most cars suffered broken mirrors, broken windows and other damages on Sunday morning.
This is not the first time that fruit had been thrown at cars. Last year, several girls uploaded a video to the Internet, which showed how they were throwing bananas at cars. They claimed that they belonged to tourists, according to the video uploaded to the Internet.
