(Scroll down for video) An elderly man’s life was saved after a little 3-year-old boy came to his rescue, according to press reports in New Jersey.
The little boy does not have to look far to find his next action hero.
He should consider himself a hero after helping save his neighbor, who had been left outside to die in the cold.
The quick thinking and good ear of the boy has made his family proud. Ethan Sojka is a life saver.
"He is my lover, you know," Bonnie Sojka, the child's mother, said. While rolling and playing one morning earlier this month, the 3-year-old boy heard a voice coming from outside his window.
His 67-year-old neighbor, Dale Cottrell, was injured while cutting down a tree in his yard and he cried for help.
Cottrell was cutting down a tree that his wife had warned him not to tackle alone. In the game room of his house, Ethan heard the cries for help coming from the other side of the street.
His neighbor had not only fallen, he was freezing on the ground in pain. "He ran off saying ‘Dad, dad, someone is saying help help help,’” Jack Sojka, the boy's father, said.
The boy's father immediately went searching and found his neighbor laying under the stump.
Cottrell, who is a grandfather, had broken ribs, two cracked vertebrae and a dislocated elbow, but he is healing now.
Little Ethan said that he is happy that his neighbor is getting better now.
