A British family was left completely shaken after their mother collapsed and died while singing in a hotel during their vacation, according to reports in Egypt.
Tourists at an Egyptian resort watched in horror as the the British woman collapsed and died singing karaoke.
Catering company owner Leah Rice, 41, was with her family at the Hilton Sharks in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Sunday night, when she collapsed.
Rice collapsed during her performance inside the Waves Pool Bar.
The cause of her death was not confirmed by officials, but has been reported as a heart attack. Rice owned a successful catering company in Britain.
Friend Anne Williams said: "She loved to sing and she loved karaoke music with a passion, along with food. She was a very good-hearted woman and a lot of people will really really miss her."
Rice and her family had only one day left on their trip.
She had put her business on hold during the trip, posting a message on her Facebook page that read: "to all my lovely customers. Lunches is taking a break and will return soon well rested, full of energy and new menus.”
Friends and clients soon posted comments. The woman may be dead, but her Facebook page lives on.
