(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested on charges of assault after stabbing her husband with a shoe because he was in bed with another woman, police in Florida said.
Volusia County Police said that they arrested 46-year-old Christine Black of Ormond Beach, after she was accused of beating her husband.
Black was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is being held without bail in the Volusia County Jail.
According to the police investigation, officers were called to Black’s house, which is located on Heron Dunas Drive around 3:00 p.m. on Monday, by 49-year-old Larry Black, who reported that his wife threw a shoe at him after finding him in bed with another woman.
Larry Black said that the shoe hit him on the left side of the face. He also reported that his wife was suicidal. Officers found Christine Black laying on the floor in the courtyard of her house and screaming obscenities.
Christine Black denied hitting her husband with a shoe, and said she said that she wanted a divorce. Deputies found a pair of shoes next to her.
Larry Black had a small cut on top of the head, but no injuries on the side of the face where he said the shoe hit him. He refused medical attention.
