A man has been arrested, charged and convicted of burglary after breaking into the home of Miley Cyrus and stealing her personal property, prosecutors in California said.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that 22-year-old Rusty Edward Sellner, pleaded no contest to charges of stealing from Cyrus.
Deputy District Attorney Brad Harmon said that Sellner of Newbury Park pleaded to one count of first-degree residential burglary.
Sellner is expected to be sentenced to two years in state prison at the Department 120 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Van Nuys Branch.
According to the police investigation, the defendant broke into the singer’s Toluca Lake house and removed a large amount of her and her brother’s personal property, the prosecutor said.
