A school employee was arrested, charged and convicted of sexual assault after placing a camera in a toilet and recording hundreds of children, prosecutors in the United kingdom said.
Adam Curnock, 32, of Harley Avenue, Harwood, admitted to sexually assaulting a child, taking, possessing and making indecent images of a child, possessing prohibited images of children, voyeurism and possessing an extreme pornographic image.
At the Bolton Crown Court, he was sentenced to seven years in prison. He was also ordered to sign onto the sex offenders register for life and made the subject of an indefinite Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).
Curnock previously worked as a cleaner and was also employed at a school in Harwood, Bolton.
Following intelligence received by the police, officers executed a warrant at his house and seized numerous electrical devices and computers, which were forensically examined.
Detectives recovered dozens of videos that Curnock had made after secretly placing recording devices in a toilet, including one of him sexually assaulting a child under 13 years old while the child sat on his lap.
A total of 2,835 videos and images from the Internet along with other illegal images were recovered.
